Agri-IT

AGRI-IT is an agriculturally based programme to enable farmers to use ICT to improve information for decision making on the farm.  This will be achieved through delivery of a tailored package of

• agriculturally based ICT training

• 6 hours of one-to-one ICT coaching and

• financial assistance up to the value of £400 per farming family to purchase hardware/software for use on the farm.

The programme has continued to receive enquiries on an occasional basis from interested farmers.  347 farmers have already completed the course over 33 classes in the Ballymoney, Moyle, Ballymena and Larne areas.  11 more classes have commenced in January 2005 facilitating 105 farmers in the same areas.
