Cross Border Micro Enterprise Development Programme

Acorn The Business Centre, Ballymoney have been awarded funding through the EU Programme for Peace & Reconciliation, administered by Co-operation Ireland to deliver a £200,000 project aimed at business development.  The project, known as the Cross Border Micro Enterprise Development Programme will be delivered in partnership with Roe Valley Enterprises, Limavady & Drumshanbo Community Council, Co. Leitrim. 

A total of 36 businesses, in the food, construction and engineering sectors from Ballymoney, Limavady and Leitrim will be recruited onto the programme which is due to commence in early November.

The aim of the project is to assist the growth & development of these micro-enterprises and to enable them to explore new markets & forge trade linkages with businesses across the border. 

Each business will have access to a comprehensive package of support, including business mentoring from specialist advisors, ICT training and the opportunity to attend cross border networking meetings and sectoral clusters with businesses in the same sector.
