The
course covers keyboarding techniques (touch typing) and develops
text-inputting skills. All basic word processing commands and functions
are covered as well as the layout of documents (letters, memos,
notices, reports) and development of text processing techniques.
Part II requires the candidates to open and modify a document provided
to them.
Candidates can improve their speed by prevailing of the typing tutor
in the IT Suite or by enrolling on the A-Z keyboard skills course
available through learndirect.

course will run on Wednesday evenings from 6-9pm for 12 weeks commencing
on the 19th September 2002.
